The French Bulldog first appeared in Paris in the mid-nineteenth century. They were originally called the Boule-Dog Francais. This dog is a crossbreed of Toy Bulldogs imported from England and local Parisian ratter. Even though they are small dogs, they have a substantial build with a powerful muscular body and heavy bone structure. These Bulldogs have a smooth coat, a short face, and trademark “bat” ears. Frenchies’ can be brindle, fawn, white, and brindle & white.
Frenchies are loving companions. They generally get along with everyone, including children. These dogs can be protective of their home and families and at times will try to defend both with their life. French Bulldogs are great dogs with a gentle and loving nature.
